Our Seasonal Weekly Support Group Series

You Are Not Alone — Find Your Community with Afloat e.V.

At Afloat e.V., a non-profit organisation, our Seasonal Weekly Support Group Series for international immigrant foreign mothers* and fathers* living in Germany away from home are offered quarterly, several times a year. A Weekly Support Group Series is a support group with the same participants across a set number of sessions.

Each support group runs for a set number of weeks, with the same mothers* meeting regularly. This structure helps build trust, fosters continuity, and strengthens community among mothers*.

These are peer-led closed groups. Advance registration and booking are required for each support group. After completing a short one-time registration form, you will receive a link to book your support group sessions through Calendly.

This booking step is crucial and the only way for you to get the Zoom Link or Location Address of the session. For security reason, only participants who have booked the session(s) can attend it.

Registration closes once the group begins. It is not possible to join after the first session. We encourage the international immigrant foreign mothers* living in Germany to plan to attend all sessions to benefit fully from the experience.

Please note that the Resourceful Parenting Group is open to both moms* and dads*.

Afloat e.V. is a nonprofit organisation, and our support groups are financed by donations. All groups are open and welcome everyone, regardless of ability to pay.

This group was one of the best things that I have done for my mental health.

As a new mother* navigating the challenges of postpartum life—balancing relationship shifts, career uncertainties, and the loneliness of being in a foreign country—finding Afloat support group has been a true lifeline. The support from the incredible mothers* in this group have made me feel seen, heard, and understood. The honest conversations and heartfelt advice have helped me embrace this journey with more confidence and less isolation. I’m deeply grateful for this space where I feel welcomed and connected.
