You Are Not Alone — Find a Community with Afloat e.V.

“Discovering Afloat has made a huge change for me as a mother*-to-be. Many doubts, many fears that I can now talk about with other mothers*. I found what I was looking for: a place for sharing and personal growth, and where it doesn’t matter where you come from”

— Pinar, support group participant.

Afloat e.V. offers a supportive space for immigrant, international, and foreign mothers*, fathers*, caretakers, and parents-to-be living in Germany, part of multicultural and possibly multilingual families, to navigate parenting and mental health with community.

To become part of our community, we ask that you complete a short one-time registration form, and once that’s done, you’ll receive a link to book your support group sessions through Calendly.

Our groups come in two main types: Seasonal or Weekly Series, which run for 4–6 weeks with the same participants and meet quarterly, and Drop-In Groups, which are flexible, usually monthly, and allow parents to join at any time throughout the year.

Afloat e.V. is a nonprofit organisation, and our support groups are financed purely by donations. All groups are open to everyone, regardless of their ability to pay.
