Welcome to Afloat

Are you an immigrant parent or parent-to-be in Germany?

Then you’re in the right place.

Being a parent abroad is hard — and for immigrant families, it can feel especially isolating.

Afloat is a non-profit organisation that offers resources and support groups to not only help you navigate parenting in a new country, but to help you build the support system you deserve.

We are inclusive to anyone who considers themselves a mother*, father*, or primary caretaker, regardless of gender identity or family structure. The gender asterisk * acknowledges that there is a wide range of gender identities beyond the binary.

Every mom* deserves support.
How can we support you today?

“Being a migrant mom* is hard enough as it is. And finding support is even harder when you struggle with a language barrier. Within a week of contacting Afloat I was connected to local resources and can finally see a light at the end of the tunnel. Thank you for guiding me towards that light.
