A place to connect for those who are pregnant

Pregnancy is such a unique phase of life and can be empowering and fulfilling but also overwhelming and emotional. For immigrant families navigating a new system of care, pregnancy can bring up a lot of questions, anxieties, and heightened feelings of isolation.

This virtual four-week group is a space for those who are pregnant to connect to one another, ask questions, and discuss a range of topics related to pregnancy and the transition to parenthood. The group is open to anyone who is pregnant - whether they are in the beginning of their journey or in those last few weeks before birth.

This is a peer support group and does not serve as a childbirth education course or as a source of medical advice or information.

Topics covered include:

  • The emotional ups and downs of pregnancy and postpartum

  • Relationships with partners, extended family, and friends—setting boundaries and asking for help

  • The transition to parenthood and shifting identities

  • Expectations, worries, and sources of support for the postpartum time
